The Clytha Arms is set in its own grounds alongside the old Abergavenny to Raglan road (B4598), 3 miles from Raglan with its famous 15th Century Castle, and 6 miles from the Market town of Abergavenny.

We are also only 40 minutes drive from the Capital City of Cardiff, with its many historical attractions and superb shopping facilities.

Locally we have golf and fishing available on request, and plenty of countryside walks.

Andrew and Beverley Canning have now been established since 1992 in the converted Dower house surrounded by green lawns and interesting gardens not far from the river Usk. The place successfully functions as an informal Pub with six real ales and snacks in the public bar, but most interest now centres on the food in the restaurant. Andrew and daughter Sarah's culinary skills are widely acclaimed by all of the good food guides. However, the pub side with its wide range of real ales is just as important to Andrew and Bev - winning local and regional Pub of the Year awards.

Awards and other accolades include :-
